Description
Neck and pirt of the side of a wine bottle, possibly a medicine bottle, in thin green glass. Found at a blacksmith's forge in Great Shelford.
This is the neck and pirt of the side of a wine bottle, possibly a medicine bottle, in thin green glass. The neck is finished with a double laid-on lip (two rings applied to the mouth of the bottle). The original shape of the bottle would appear to have been bulbous, as opposed to straight-sided. It was found with a large collection of bottles of horse potions which were uncovered during the demolition of a blacksmith's forge in Great Shelford.
