    A steel level in a wooden box with a hinged lid, used for trueing marking staffs. A marking staff was used to mark the rough or projecting portions of a millstone. The level is part of a collection of milling equipment (64/123–64/144) from Drayton Mill in Drayton, Oxfordshire.
