This is a tinted lithograph print entitled ''Violet' Short Horn Heifer. It was painted and lithographed by A. M. Gauci of Tottenham Court Road in London, and printed in 1868 by C. H. Curtis of Pentonville, London. Violet the cow was bred by Lord Feversham of Duncombe Park in Helmsley, Yorkshire, and won two prizes in 1867. The print is one of a collection of paintings and prints thought to date from the last quarter of the 18th century to c.1860.
