  • Description
This is a Bryant and May metal tin for motor matches, with the inscription “For Motor-car, Cycle and Launch lamps. Will flame for 20 Seconds and Keep Alight in the Strongest Wind”. Like normal matches, motor matches have a strikeable tip, but unlike ordinary matches the stick is coated with a combustible compound which ensures that they continue to burn even in strong winds and with a wax coating which makes them waterproof.
