  • Description
    These samples of rattan cane were given to the Museum by Gray & Cahill, a firm of importers and exporters of rattans, willows, canes and other fibres for basketmaking. The five samples are 1) Kooboo Loonti rattan, 2) Taneh Puteh Loonti rattan, 3) Red Palembang rattan, 4) Boonloot rattan and 5) Tohiti rattan. Rattan is used in the making of cane baskets.
