    A dark-coloured parasol with a dark brown wooden folding handle. The border has a lined pattern and fringe, while the top has an ebony knob, fringe and tassel. The parasol formed part of the wedding outfit of the donor's grandmother or great-grandmother.

    MERL ‘Handwritten catalogue’ form – ‘Dark brown/black parasol with ebony knob at top and dark brown wood folding handle. There is a brass collar to hold the handle together when open. The parasol has a lined pattern along the border and a fringe. There is also a fringe and tassel at the top. // Length: 73.0cm // Width: 51.0cm approx – not fully opened.’
