    MERL 'Handwritten catalogue' form – 'WEIGHTS (NEST OF) // See Recording Form for possible connections with Suffolk trades. // [pencil sketch]', MERL Recording form – 'Additional information // The weights came to me in 1921 when my uncle [?] Herbert Hall died, he had been many years Rector of Glemsford, Suffolk, a small village, there were a few old houses where silk weaving too make umbrellas was done, + there was a horse hair factory. otherwise the local work was agricultural // The Rectory was the only large house + garden in the village the church being 3/4 mile away - Diocese of Ely. Nearest town Sudbury. No details known about the weights.'
