TOASTING FORK. This toasting fork was made by a blacksmith in Buckinghamshire in 1961. It has a metal 'shield' to protect the handle from the heat of the fire. The fork was used to cook in front of an open fire. It looks weird. It is interesting how it was used by people in the past. MERL 62/234/1-3.
