    This is a bull leader, a tool designed to lead a bull by placing a pair of clamps onto his nostrils. It was used at Pecktree Farm, Chester le Street, and is thought to date from c.1950. It was made by a local blacksmith, and was known by the local name of a 'humbug' or 'bulldog'.
