  • Description
This wooden swing plough was used for over fifty years in the first half of the twentieth century at Easton Farm, Berwick Saint John, Wiltshire. According to the donor, similar swing ploughs (with no wheels) were also used in Berkshire in the area around Reading. This plough may have been made by Bentalls of Maldon, Essex, but this is not confirmed.
