Accelerometers on Phones

This demo allows you to see what happens when you rotate or tilt a phone. Its accelerometers detect the gravitational force (force = mass * acceleration).

You will see on its screen the forces in two directions, which set landscape or portrait mode.

Use the buttons to rotate the phone left/right or tilt forward/backwards.

Keyboard controls

Press L or R to rotate the phone left or right, and F and B to tilt it forward/backward.
