The MERL Makers craft showcase

Launching at the Whiteknights Studio Trail in June, we will be exhibiting the work of 3 local artists in our craft showcase. All works are for sale and this is a fantastic opportunity to purchase a completely unique handmade product created by local makers:

Sheena McMahon's selection of ceramics are are hand-built using stoneware and constructed using coils or slabs which makes each piece unique. Emphasis is placed upon form and structure as opposed to decoration, and set within the boundaries of basic, traditional themes.

Caroline Marriott is a textile artist who uses a rag rugging technique to create jewellery and fashion accessories from fabric and fibre, in rich vibrant colours.

Kate Powell is a designer/maker trained in traditional and modern upholstery. Her collection consists of re-upholstered pieces mixed with her own printed textiles.

The works of these artists will be on display until Sunday 3rd September.
