We are a University Museum and we offer a range of exciting opportunities for students.
Our Museum Studies programmes are a unique chance to combine a heritage qualification with archaeology or classics at an undergraduate level. You will take on challenging projects with real collections in working museums with professional staff. You will benefit from placements and engage in a third year exhibition module. We also support dissertations on museum and public heritage topics.
You can get involved in our Volunteer Programme while you study. We have a Student Panel who advise us and run events. At the University of Reading your volunteer work is recognised via the RED Award.
Classes from around the University use our collections for teaching. We run a Collections-Based Research training programme for PhD students. We also provide training for Masters students in related subjects.
Finally, we offer training opportunities to people beyond the university, such as summer schools.
