Alumni Lecture: Craig Bennett

21 February 2018
18:30 - 20:00
G11, Henley Business School, Whiteknights Campus

The next big step in human progress

University of Reading alumnus Craig Bennett (BSc Human and Physical Geography 1994) is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Friends of the Earth and Honorary Professor of Sustainability and Innovation at University of Manchester Alliance Manchester Business School. Having spent most of his career as an environmental campaigner, Craig believes there is an urgent need for the 'environmental movement' to evolve rapidly over the next decade if it is going to play a leadership role in helping steer humanity to a more sustainable future.

In this lecture, Craig looked at the evolution of the concept of 'progress' - what it means, what it should mean and what progress should really look like in the twenty-first century.
