  • Sir Cyrill WYCHE was born in 1695, the only son of Jermyn Wyche of Hockwold, co. Norfolk. At the age of nineteen he was appointed by Queen Anne resident at Hamburg and by George I Minister and envoy plenipotentiary to the Circle of Lower Saxony. He also became envoy extraordinary to the Russian Court. He was created a baronet on 1729 December 20 and earlier the same year high sheriff of Norfolk. He married Anne, daughter of Magnus Wedderkop, first minister to the Duke of Holstein. They had two sons and two daughters. Magnus, the first son, died unmarried in 1740; the second son, John, died young. Sir Cyril died in 1756 without surviving male issue. The baronetcy therefore became extinct
