My group works on a variety of projects all connected
through the use of protein expression systems. We are generally
interested in how virus proteins function - what have they evolved
to do within the virus life cycle and can they be manipulated for
novel purposes. We also work directly on protein expression systems
themselves with the aim of making them more efficient and suitable
for high throughput use. Our main workhorse is baculovirus
expression where we have contributed a number of novel developments
over the years (click
to see) but we also make use of E.coli and mammalian
cells.
Details of our defined projects and the people
involved can be found on the appropriate pages under the sidebar
buttons.
