Virtual Lightbox for Museums and Archives
The Virtual Lightbox for Museums and Archives (VLMA) is a collaborative project between the University of Reading, the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science and Oxford Archaeology to enable user-friendly browsing of institutional collections on the web.
The Project's initial development phase was sponsored by JISC as an eLearning tool in 2004-2005. The University of Reading's Teaching and Learning Develop Fund is sponsoring the current phase, to federate data available from museums, archives and collections at the University of Reading. Results as well as on-going developments are available on the project's home page .
