Postgraduate taught courses

Postgradaute student working in TypographyOur programmes draw upon our academic and professional expertise providing a range from more practical skills-based to preparation for MPhil or PhD study. We have developed unique programmes which provide grounding in principles and methods of design practice in various areas. Our links with industry enable us to draw on additional knowledge and experience and maintain a current perspective.

You will need a good first degree (equivalent to at least 2:1 Honours in the UK) in a design or design-relevant subject or, for exceptional candidates without such a degree, convincing evidence of relevant professional experience. For the practice-based programmes (Book Design, Information Design and Typeface Design), please also send us a portfolio of recent design work as a pdf or through a downloadable weblink, together with a piece of academic writing in English.
