Peter is working for Solarcentury.

Thesis title:

Study of Parameters Affecting Performance of Solar Photovoltaic Systems of Various Designs Operating in the Field.

 Project:

I worked with SSE Contracting and Solarcentury on monitoring tools for PV in the UK. The project involved a wide range of disciplines including applied meteorology, database design and data analysis.

I feel strongly that renewable energy is central to reducing our dependence on fossil fuels. Ultimately all energy we use on Earth comes from the Sun. The great thing about solar power is that it captures this energy directly using astounding technology. Through my EngD research I am able to improve the conditions for solar power in the UK and see the results of my work having an impact very quickly as they are taken up by my industrial sponsors.
