Membership

Annual subscriptions for membership of The Friends are not less than £12.00 (for an individual), £20.00 (for a couple) or £25.00 (for a company or organisation).

Many members wish and feel able to donate more than the minimum subscription and thereby increase the amount available to provide gifts and donations for special projects at the University, which over recent years have averaged £5,000 per annum.

Subscription and Gift Aid

The easiest and most cost-effective way to make the annual subscription payment is by Standing Order, although the Association is quite happy to receive subscriptions in the form of cash or a cheque made payable to: The Friends of The University of Reading.

If you pay income or capital gains tax in the UK you can make every £10 you give worth £12.82 at no extra cost to yourself by completing a Gift Aid form. You can also pay membership subscriptions to The Friends through Gift Aid by completing the relevant section of the form.
