The ThamesBlue Service

Computing resource

The ThamesBlue supercomputer can be an additional resource in times of need - when current capacity is insufficient or there is an unplanned and immediate requirement for additional processing time.  Access to this resource can be useful in smoothing out the spikes in demand and can help bridge the period between the decision to invest in more capacity being made and the facility being made available.

As a University we are actively engaged in researching computational methods and their efficient deployment across a range of technology platforms. Our expertise in Computational Analysis can be deployed to improve speed, efficiency and accuracy of the models in your chosen technical environment.  This expertise is supplemented by ACET's  HPC Research programme.

Engagement model

Taking into account the nature of the demand, we have taken a pragmatic approach to customer engagement.  ThamesBlue is available on-demand 24x7 so customers log on and run jobs when they need to and we only charge for what has been used - no other fees apply.
