Teaching Staff Mobility (STA)

Erasmus+_Teaching_Staff_MobilityTeaching at another European university provides an opportunity to:

  • Develop your international networks
  • Increase your international collaboration
  • Generate new ideas and best practise
  • Enhance your personal and professional development
  • Help increase your International profile and that of your School / the University of Reading

Staff at Reading can visit and teach at a partner institution for between 2 days and 8 weeks (funds permitting) providing that a minimum of 8 hours of teaching takes place per week.

Teaching can be at UG, PGT and  Doctoral level, and can involve seminars, one-to-one discussions with PhD students, lab supervision etc.

Due to the reciprocal nature of the agreements you can also invite colleagues from partner institutions to come to Reading (funded by their university) and contribute to your degree programmes / curricula (i.e. internationalising your curricula).

How to apply

For transparency and fairness all colleagues interested in participating must submit an application. The list of priorities for award of funds is included in the Erasmus+ Teaching Staff Mobility Handbook.

Please return to the Erasmus & Study Abroad Office. We will accept an email from the Head of Department / School in lieu of signature confirming approval to participate.

Application deadlines

Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible - current deadline for applications is 24 February 2017. Applications can be considered after this date only if there are funds available to distribute.

If demand exceeds our financial allocation then Erasmus+ funds will be allocated based on the priority list included in the Handbook.
