A year in France

A year ago, I would have, happily, sat in a classroom quietly allowing other people to answer questions, because I was too afraid to do so myself. Not long ago, I put my hand up in a class in another country where they speak a language which is not my first and one which I am far from fluent in, and answered a stuprof-dhattalsacequestion. At that point I realised that my year abroad has been life changing. It's helped me become a self-confident, assertive person. As many doubts I had, as many fears and worries, now I know that it was the best decision I have ever made. My time abroad is something that I will never regret doing.

Every second will not be perfect and you will have moments where you think "why am I putting myself through this?" Then you'll stand on top of a mountain looking out at an incredible view, you'll stand on a sandy beach letting the wind wash over you, you'll sit at a table in an overcrowded bar with new friends laughing and joking and that is when you realise that those tough few moments are worth it.

I've travelled to incredible places, made unforgettable friendships, and have done things I would never have imagined or ever would have had the confidence to do before. I came here expecting an adventure, and that is exactly what I got!
