Explore the UK 

Reading can be your base to explore as well as learn. High-speed rail links with London make it quick, easy and Campus centreaffordable for students to take advantage of all that London has to offer, and there are regular rail services to major cities around the UK. London Heathrow and London Gatwick Airports are easily accessible as well.

Also many of the UK's major tourist destinations (Oxford, 'Downton Abbey', Windsor Castle, Hampton Court and London) are all within easy reach.

University

Our picturesque and safe main campus is set in 130 hectares of beautiful parkland, so you'll find plenty of places to relax during the day. Buildings are a mixture of the modern and traditional.

In 2014, the site was voted number six out of almost 1,500 green spaces eligible to be included in the 2014 Green Flag People's Choice Award. Whiteknights is the only university campus to appear in the top 10.

Town

Whether you are a sports fan, love a good comedy club or just want to dance the night away with your mates, Reading will have something to offer you. The town is large enough to boast a range of shops, bars, restaurants and arts and sport venues, but small enough to feel welcoming. It also has fantastic transport links, and you can reach London within half an hour by train.

The town has a proud history of welcoming people from across the globe, and international students often comment on the warm atmosphere and multicultural vibe found here.

Students Union

RUSU is an independent body ran by students, for students, providing facilities, entertainment and opportunities.

There are currently over 150 societies and sports clubs you can join, covering all sorts of interests. including the Erasmus Society and International Society who put on numerous events and trips.

3sixty is one of the best Student Union venues in the country and is certainly the largest venue in Reading. With a capacity of over 2000, 3sixty hosts a wide variety of events day and night and to suit all tastes.

RUSU offers a free and confidential advice service to all students.
