The deadline for students wanting to start their study abroad studies in the spring term 2012 is 15 October 2011.

Application Process

  1. Talk with your home university's International Office (or equivalent) to find out whether or not you can study abroad at the University of Reading. They will be able to provide you with guidance and further information.
  2. Check our study abroad module selection webpages to see if we offer modules which are relevant and of interest to your studies. Discuss your module choices with your study advisor at your home university to ensure that the credit transfers back to your degree programme, ensuring that you select the correct amount of credit for your period of study.
  3. Your home university / study abroad consortium must officially nominate you before you can apply. Students will only be able to submit their application if they have been officially nominated by their home university (ERASMUS) or study abroad advisor (non-EU).
  4. Complete the relevant application forms, then print and return them to Reading International Office together with any other supporting material required (please ensure you have the approval and signature of your advisor at your home university). This should be sent to:
Erasmus & Study Abroad team, Reading International Office, The University of Reading, Whiteknights, PO Box 227, Reading, RG6 6AB
  5. The Erasmus & Study Abroad team will acknowledge receipt of your application.
  6. Before August 2011 (if starting in autumn 2011) you will receive an official offer letter, information about accommodation and Welcome Week information.
  7. We will contact you by email if there are any issues arising with your module choices. In September you will receive an electronic 'Provisional Learning Agreement' detailing the modules we are provisionally able to offer you, and the process to select additional / replacement modules once you arrive in Reading.
