Support Arrangements

The provision of professional administrative support for teaching and learning activities for undergraduate and postgraduate taught students will remain physically based in schools until the opening of the Support Centres.

What does this mean for me?

Your School Office will continue to support you as it has always done and there will be no change in which team you need to see. If in doubt, visit your School Office, who will be happy to help.

For students in the Henley Business School on Whiteknights campus, support arrangements will remain as they are today.

Please refer to the table below for information on where your school offices are, and how to get in touch. Opening hours during term time will be 8.30am-5.30pm and 9am-4pm outside of term time.

For enquiries and activities on where your first point of call will be, please take a look at our list of Common Enquiries. (For students in the Henley Business School, 'School Office' in the document means the Admin Deck on the first floor of either the Henley Business School building or the ICMA Centre as appropriate).

Remember to scroll to the right of the table below to see information about when each department is operational from, and the phone number to contact them.

Student helpdesk

From 1 August 2016 you will have access to the new 'Ask a Question' page hosted on the RISIS portal. From this date onwards, this page will tell you how to make contact with your school office, and with other teams outside of the school office who can help with other issues.

The StudentHelpdesk is easy to use on PCs, laptops and mobile devices. It is quick to ask a question and you have easy access to all the questions you have previously asked and our responses.

You will be able to login at, through the RISIS portal or on the Me@Reading Student portal.

If you are external to the University, please contact or ext. 5555 (0118 378 5555).

If you are a student and encounter technical difficulties with the portal, please contact or ext. 6262 (0118 378 6262).
