Principal Statistician
My main professional expertise is in the design, analysis and communication of research. I help researchers to convert a research idea into a coherent plan of activities that will gather information to answer their questions in an effective and efficient manner. Over the years my role has moved from just providing technical inputs into planning, team coordination, resource management and ensuring delivery of project outputs. As a consultant statistician I am used to dealing with a wide range of clients in the UK and overseas. My training experience includes teaching short course participants and university students. Over the last ten years I have also worked on the design of training programmes. From a research point of view I am interested in how to integrate quantitative and qualitative methodologies to ensure robust and reliable research results. Most of my publications are in this area.
