Applicants should have, or expect to obtain in the year of application, a good honours degree (i.e. An upper second class honours degree from a UK university of equivalent class of degree from an overseas university). They will normally be admitted only if their academic record is such that there is reason to suppose they can satisfactorily study the special modules for which they enrol.
Applicants will be accepted once they have met the conditions of entry, and have satisfied the University that they will have adequate financial support during the period of study.
Overseas applicants level of English
A good standard of English is an essential requirement for admission to a unit. The University has found that the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) administered by the British Council provides the most reliable indication of an applicant's ability to cope with an academic unit, and the normal minimum requirement is 6.5.
