Papers of Cecil Sprigge
Cecil Sprigge (1896-1959), was a journalist and writer on Italian affairs whose jobs included that of Reuter's chief correspondent in Italy from 1943 to 1946. He also wrote biographies of Karl Marx and Benedetto Croce, and translated some of Croce's work into English.
The collection includes correspondence, manuscripts and typescripts of articles, diaries, news cuttings, leaflets, copies of journals and newspapers.
