Kingsley Read Alphabet Collection
Kingsley Read (18871975) was appointed to design the new English alphabet provided for under the will of George Bernard Shaw.
The collection includes correspondence with Shaw 1943-50, with the Public Trustee up to 1957, and with users of the alphabet, specimens of other phonetic alphabets, and publications relating to writing.
