Archive of Ruari McLean Associates
Ruari McLean (1917-2006) worked as a designer and typographer in all areas of the printing trade and was also the author of many books, including Victorian Book Design and Colour Printing (1963, new ed. 1972), The Thames & Hudson Manual of Typography (1980) and a biography of the typographer Jan Tschichold (1997).
The collection documents the work of Ruari McLean at Ruari McLean Associates, and contains material produced at Rainbird, McLean, including the production of his own books.
Some original material by Charles Mozley has been put with the Mozley material in the Printing Collection.
