Rosalind Laker Collection

Rosalind Laker was born in Bognor in 1912 with the name Barbara Kathleen Geils. She met Inge Øvstedal in 1944 when he was stationed at Pagham with the Royal Norwegian Air Force. They married in 1945 and moved to Norway in 1946.

It was during this time that Barbara started to write short stories which were published in various magazines and she took on the pen name Rosalind Laker. Her novel, Sovereign's Key, was published in 1970 - this was to be the first of over 40 historical novels. Her books are read worldwide having been translated into over 20 languages. She has some books published in her married name, Barbara Øvstedal.
