Papers of John Hampson

John Hampson (1901-1955) was born John Hampson Simpson.  He became one of the 'Birmingham Group', which also included W.H. Auden and Louis MacNeice.

The collection consists of manuscripts, typescripts and proofs of his novels including Saturday night at the Greyhound, together with copies of several of Hampson's books.
