Papers of Vernon Bartlett

Vernon Bartlett (1894-1983) was an author, journalist and broadcaster on foreign affairs, both in Europe and in the Far East.

The majority of the collection consists of texts of broadcasts made between 1928 and 1968. There are also addresses, articles, ephemera, memoranda, press cuttings, propaganda and a file of correspondence containing letters from prominent politicians and public figures on political and diplomatic questions, 1933–1968.

Letters to and from Vernon Bartlett are also found in the Allen & Unwin and Chatto & Windus collections.
