MSc Environmental Management
In the light of global environmental change and the current political agenda there is an increasing drive for the environment to be managed in a sustainable fashion. The Water Framework Directive, Soil Framework Directive and other waste, agriculture and contaminated land directives at national and international level require the application of sound scientific principles and particularly an understanding of the soil to environmental management issues.
This new programme is run jointly with the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development and offers a unique opportunity to develop not just management skills but also an awareness of current environmental policy and an understanding of the science behind how soil and the environment works. Graduates will be highly employable in the growing market for environmental managers and consultants.
