Short courses

Man reading bookWe have a flexible approach to providing short courses for commercial or academic purposes.

Examples of courses we have provided include;

  • A week long residential course on the application of geostatistics to environmental data at beginner to advanced level. These courses meet the needs of professionals in industry and academia who wish to learn how to analyse spatial data in a statistically correct fashion. Instruction is fully hands on using the statistics package GenStat.
  • A course comprising 6 sessions covering soil classification, soil-pesticide interactions and basic soil microbiology for Syngenta

The Department welcomes enquiries from industry about bespoke courses. These can be adapted from existing MSc modules from our NERC sponsored MSc Soils and Environmental Pollution.
