The School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies ceased to exist as a separate administrative entity on August 1st 2005.
The Clinical section of the School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies has moved to new purpose-built premises in an enlarged School of Psychology and Clinical Language Studies and will be administered from there.
The remaining sections of the current School of Linguistics and Applied Language Studies (Applied Linguistics, the Centre for Applied Language Studies and Linguistics) have merged with another School in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, to form a new School of Languages and European Studies, so that all language, language support and language acquisition activities come under the same administration. Information about the Department of Applied Linguistics can be found on the new Department website, which covers the following programmes:
BA in Applied English Language Studies
MA in English Language Teaching
MA in Applied Linguistics
MA in ELT by Distance Study
MA in Linguistic Research
PhDs in Applied Linguistics
