Latest research from the University suggests that domestic cats could be significantly affecting some urban bird species. The research looks beyond the major causes of bird population declines and begins to analyse the contribution of cats by quantifying their predation rates, hunting movements and home ranges. The project is funded by NERC and is supported by the University of Swansea.
