Unit of Assessment 6: Agriculture, Veterinary and Food Science

Research from Reading submitted into Agricultural, Veterinary and Food Science comprises work from staff in both the School of Agriculture, Policy and Development (APD) in the research divisions of Biodiversity, Crops and Agro-ecosystems; Food Production and Quality, and Economic and Social Sciences; and the Department of Food and Nutritional Sciences (FNS) in Food and Bioprocessing Science; Food Microbial Sciences and Human Nutrition. Co-ordination for the work of this unit is provided by the Centre for Food Security whose strategy is organised through three overlapping themes: Food Chain and Health, Biodiversity and Agro-ecosystems, and Sustainable Food Production Systems.
