Unit of Assessment 5: Biological Sciences

Research from Reading submitted into Biological Sciences includes work from staff within the School of Biological Sciences. Research within the School is generally structured into four areas: Ecology, Evolutionary Biology, Microbiology and Molecular & Cellular Medicine.  Biological Sciences plays a central role in the inter- and multi-disciplinary research in the Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Research (ICMR), and also contributes to that in the Centre for Food Security, the Centre for Integrative Neuroscience and Neurodynamics (CINN), and the Walker Institute for Climate System Research.
