Single gender accommodation
We have a limited number of areas in halls that are designated as single gender only.

You can apply for single gender accommodation by selecting that you "require single gender accommodation" when you complete your application for accommodation.
Students living in single gender accommodation will be able to invite visitors or guests of the opposite gender into the accommodation (subject to the visitor guidelines). Staff or contractors of either gender may also enter the accommodation for the purposes of cleaning, maintenance and security.
Students who select "prefer single gender" at the time they apply for accommodation will be allocated with those of the same gender where possible but this will not be guaranteed.
We have a limited number of rooms available for postgraduate students. The following halls have designated postgraduate areas:
- Benyon Hall
- Bridges Hall
- Greenow House
- Mackinder Hall
- St George’s Hall
- St Patrick’s Hall
- Stenton Townhouses
You can apply for postgraduate accommodation by selecting that you "require postgraduate accommodation" when you complete your application for accommodation.
Disabilities and medical conditions
The University's Disability Team provides support and advice and works closely with the Accommodation Team to assist students with special requirements. At the time of application you will be given the opportunity to provide details of any medical conditions that may affect your stay in halls.
