This lens is classed as a “wide angle” lens, this is because the lens can see more than the human eye could (provided the eye saw in a square format like a camera). wide angle lenses are particularly useful for landscapes, architecture when close to the subject and anywhere where moving back to fit the whole subject in picture isn’t possible. Wide angle lenses can create a feeling of space in comparison to a 50mm lens. The Vivitar 28mm lens is an OM fit lens so is suitable for use on the Olympus OM-10.
