Overview
The 18-50mm is similar to the Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6. This is only compatible with Canon cameras with the smaller APS-C sensors (xxxxD xxxD xxD, 7D). The lens offers a standard focal length range from 18-50mm (28-80mm effective) which is suitable for everyday photography. Reviews suggest that this lens is slightly better than the Canon equivalent. The extra aperture blade should help to make more attractive out-of-focus blur (bokeh). The 18-50mm is not suitable for low light use, for this consider the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 or the Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8.
