Overview

Released in 2007, the Canon EOS 40D marked a massive improvement over its predecessors in Canon’s so-called “Prosumer” range of cameras (i.e. 10D, 20D, 30D). Amongst these is an much higher resolution at 10.1 Megapixels as well as allowing for 14-bit photography (allowing for much smoother colour gradients etc.). Another major change is the introduction of Live View functionality. It is also considerably faster than previous models in the range, and can handle up to 6.5fps meaning that it is great for sports photography.

The camera is supplied with a battery charger, USB lead and a copy of the Canon drivers and utilities CD
