Week Three

Tonight (Tuesday 25th October 7pm) we will be having our second Continuing Photographers meeting, Photoshop & Lightroom, this will take place in HUMSS G74 (Ground Floor, in the HUMSS ‘Tower’). This session goes over the usage of Lightroom for rapid and batch editing of photographs, as a cataloging and publishing tool as well as a using it for non-destructive editing of RAW files; following this we will then look at how it integrates with Photoshop, and then cover the use of various features in Photoshop such as layers, content-aware spot removal, pixel editing, and how to use it to restore old photographs; if you have any tips that you have used yourself, do feel free to suggest them.
Wednesday (26th October 3pm) will bring a midweek photowalk to our historic London Road Campus, this is a beautiful area with historic buildings, traditional cloisters and autumnal trees. Following this we will stay at the Cotton Club (Eat @ London Road) for a light social where you can bring along some photographs to share with the group or go over any photographs from the walk. Meet outside the Palmer Building at 1500 if you wish to come on the walk, or make your own way down to London Road and come find us after that.

We still have some slots remaining for this weekend’s residential, if you are interested please do talk to the committee.
