- Binding of theses. Note: (1) Final year BA dissertations can be comb-bound in the Department for a small fee - see Jeannie Hetherington. (2) MA dissertations should preferably be thermal or equivalently bound (soft or hard cover): for this you will need to use an external binder - see the above link. If necessary a comb-bound dissertation is acceptable, and can be arranged in the Department for a small fee. (3) PhD theses will have to be bound using an external binder - see the above link. Theses can be soft bound initially, and then hard bound after corrections have been made. See the Rules for the Submission of Theses for Higher Degrees. (But note that the University no longer offers binding services.)
