The Reading School of Pharmacy in conjunction with Henley Business School at University of Reading are pleased to offer Pharmacy students the opportunity to complete the Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration alongside their MPharm qualification.

This ground-breaking, innovative qualification was taught for the first time in summer 2014 and the first students completed all four modules in 2016. It aims to develop your knowledge and understanding in key areas of management that you will find invaluable whatever yourpharmacy lab CBA final career choice. The certificate is taught through a combination of engaging, interactive post exam workshops and group work, tailored to the Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical industry context, along with self-study supported by on-line material and tutorials. The key subject areas within the programme focus on areas of management critical to your early career - managing people, finance, leadership, strategy and change. The programme has been designed to allow you to draw on and apply the work experience that you gain during your MPharm.

Course Details:HBS Flipchart

  • A collaboration between Henley Business School (an international triple accredited business school) and Reading School of Pharmacy
  • June summer school format with no overlap with MPharm course
  • Postgraduate Certificate qualification entirely separate from MPharm degree

The following 4 modules will be taught at the Whiteknights campus:

  • "Introduction to Management and Organisations" (zero credits, non-refundable £500 deposit)
  • "Managing Performance in Organisations through People" (20 credits, £1000 fee)
  • "Building Value: Financial and Management Accounting Principles" (20 credits, £1500 fee)
  • "Leadership, Change and Strategy" (20 credits, £1500 fee)
