Practice Certificate in Prescribing
CIPPET offers part-time postgraduate courses to prepare pharmacists and nurses to practice as both independent and supplementary prescribers and to meet the standards set by The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
The course comprises the equivalent of 26 study days, which includes taught days, self directed study time, examinations and assessment, and 12 days learning in practice. Two formats are available; studying for one day a week over 6 months or a more intensive weekend residential course (for Pharmacists) over 5 months.

A conversion course for supplementary prescribing pharmacists to become independent prescribers is also available.
