Areas of Interest:

Kat graduated from Cardiff University with an MPharm degree and undertook her pre-registration training at Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust before moving to Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust where she now works as Lead Women's and Children's Pharmacist. She has presented several initiatives to improve clinical care within neonatology and obstetrics at national conferences. In her clinical role Kat works to support postgraduate work based training for students studying for postgraduate diplomas and independent prescribing qualifications. She is a member of the Neonatal and Paediatric Pharmacists Group, the United Kingdom Clinical Pharmacy Association and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

In 2016 Kat took over the role of Director of CIPPET, leading the taught postgraduate CIPPET team to provide education, training and development for healthcare professionals via a range of workplace based courses. She works closely with stakeholders, the Royal Pharmaceutical Society and other national and international Higher Education Institutes to develop programmes.

Kat has completed her postgraduate diploma in general pharmacy practice, postgraduate certificate in clinical education and is an independent prescriber. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and in 2015 was awarded Membership of the Faculty of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, Advanced Stage II.
