Parking information for visitors
If you are visiting the University, please be aware that parking on campus is very limited. The University and Reading as a whole are well served by public transport so if possible, please consider travelling by rail, coach, or on foot or bicycle.
How to arrange parking
If you are coming by car, you must ensure that your parking is prearranged. Please contact the member of staff or department you are visiting and ask them to arrange a visitor's parking permit.
Members of staff who wish to book visitor parking should see the staff parking page for information.

Parking off site
If you decide to travel to the University and park off site, please ensure that you park legally and considerately and are aware of any parking restrictions.
- don't park on junctions
- don't block driveways or dropped kerbs
- don't park in areas where there's limited space available for residents
We thank you in advance for your help and consideration. How you park your car can impact people's attitude and perception of the University and staff, students and visitors.
